Already working as a dental assistant without a qualification? 

Enrol in HLT35021 Certificate III in Dental Assisting and obtain a nationally recognised qualification with the Australian Academy of Dental Assisting (AADA).

The same course below is available to participants who have been working in the industry as a Dental Assistant, and have practical and theoretical skills within industry, but would like to formally acquire certification in HLT35021 Certificate III in Dental Assisting.

Rolling intakes are accepted and no attendance at a campus is required.  Participants will undergo training at their own pace.  The online assessments for this program are interactive, informative and are the most recent version of this qualification, having been developed by an eminent Brisbane dentist.

Evidence of duration of employment within in industry must be supplied and endorsed by the employer.

Description
There are three stages in the program.  When you start your program you will receive a training plan which will reflect the actual start and end dates of each stage.  This will ensure that you remain on track with your course.  The competencies must be taken in sequence as displayed above.  Students undertaking the course on a part time basis will receive a training plan which reflects the progress over 24 months.

Upon enrolment, the student is issued with access to our online learning platform and/or access to full colour hard copy learning resources for the theory component.  Your student login and password will be emailed to you, providing access to the online electronic resource, where you will find your online assessments and due dates.  In order to complete the on-line part of the course you will need regular access to a computer and the internet.

Assessment is by online education and demonstrated tasks in the workplace; AADA’s experienced assessors will determine when the workplace assessments will take place and this will be negotiated in conjunction with the student and the workplace.  Third party evidence must be submitted in the form of the Evidence Portfolio Learning activities must also be submitted as completed.
